All proceeds from this tour go to charity. This two-hour walking tour offers a frank introduction to Liverpool’s links with the Atlantic slave trade — how the port grew wealthy through the trade, and how that history is still written into the streets, buildings, and street names of the city centre.
The walk begins in the Rope Walks Area and continues through Blue Coat Chambers, Liverpool One, the Canning and Salthouse docks, the Strand, and the Town Hall. Along the way we explore the families, merchants, and places connected to the trade, the 18th-century buildings that still stand, and how Liverpool continues to reckon with this chapter of its past.
