Who we are

Paddy's Historical Tours of Liverpool (“we”, “us”) runs guided walking tours in Liverpool and this website. For UK data protection law, we are the controller of the personal information described below.

Contact: paddyshistoricaltoursliverpool@gmail.com, 07510293680, Liverpool, Merseyside, United Kingdom.

What we collect

We do not run an online shop or take card details on this site. We only handle information you choose to give us so we can reply and arrange a tour.

That is typically:

  • Name and email address
  • Phone number, if you call us or include it in a message
  • Your message, including preferred dates, group size, and which tour you are interested in

If you send a review and are happy for us to publish it, we may show your first name and town on the Testimonials page (for example, “Sarah, Southport”). We will not publish a review without that permission.

How you give us this information

You can email, phone, or send the form on the Contact page. We do not buy lists, track you around the web, or use advertising cookies.

Why we use it

We use your details to:

  • answer your enquiry and agree a date and meeting point
  • keep a simple record of the booking until the tour has run
  • send practical follow-up about that tour (for example a change of meeting place)

We do not use your details for newsletters or marketing unless you clearly ask us to. We do not sell your information.

The legal basis is usually taking steps to enter a contract with you (arranging a paid or charity tour) or our legitimate interest in answering a message you sent us.

Who else sees it

Enquiries sent by email are received in our Gmail inbox (paddyshistoricaltoursliverpool@gmail.com). Google provides that email service.

If you use the website enquiry form, the message is sent through Web3Forms, which delivers it to us. We do not use that service to build a marketing list.

This website is hosted by Vercel. Like most hosts, they may process technical logs (such as IP address) to keep the site running and secure. We do not use those logs to identify you or to advertise.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry and booking messages for as long as we need them to arrange your tour, and for up to 12 months afterwards in case of follow-up questions. We then delete them unless we must keep something longer (for example a record of a complaint or insurance-related matter).

Cookies

This site does not use advertising or analytics cookies. We do not show a cookie banner because we are not using non-essential tracking.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email paddyshistoricaltoursliverpool@gmail.com and we will respond as soon as we reasonably can.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

Changes

If we start taking payments on the site, add analytics, or collect more information, we will update this page. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
